SUPER HUMAN / LAST UPDATED 1 SEPTEMBER 2026

Privacy Policy

Super Human tracks habits, reads Apple Health, and puts you on a public leaderboard. Each of those deserves a plain explanation, so here they are.

THE SHORT VERSION

There is no account and no server of ours. Your hero, quests, books, vision board and history live on your device and sync only through your own private iCloud. We cannot read any of it.

Health data is read on the device to complete your quests and is never transmitted to us. The leaderboard is Apple's Game Center, so what other players see is your Game Center alias and your score, nothing else.

Who is responsible

Super Human is published by DeadPixel Studio UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany, registered at Amtsgericht Charlottenburg under HRB 279669 B, VAT ID DE459996624. Managing director: Rouzbeh Abadi. We are the controller for the purposes of the GDPR. Reach us at [email protected]; the full postal address is on our Imprint.

What Super Human stores, and where

Everything you create in the app is stored locally on your device: your hero and level, daily and quarterly quests, streaks and Lives, Matrix entries, books and reading progress, the images and notes on your vision board, Relics you have found, and your settings.

If iCloud is enabled, this syncs through Apple's CloudKit into your own private iCloud database so your progress follows you between iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch. That data sits in your Apple account under Apple's terms, and we cannot read it. Turning iCloud off for Super Human keeps everything on the one device.

Apple Health

With your permission, Super Human reads the following from Apple Health so it can complete your quests automatically: step count, sleep analysis, water intake, mindful sessions, heart rate and body weight.

It also writes back the water and mindful-minute entries you log inside the app, so Health stays the single record of those.

All of this happens on your device. Health data is never sent to us and never leaves for any third party. iOS asks for each permission separately, you can grant only the categories you want, and you can withdraw any of them at any time in the Health app under Sources. Quests that depend on a withdrawn category simply stop completing themselves.

The leaderboard and Game Center

The weekly, monthly and all-time leaderboards run on Apple's Game Center. We do not operate a ranking server. If you sign in to Game Center, your alias and your XP score are submitted to Apple and are visible to other players on the public boards.

We receive your Game Center alias to display it in the app, and nothing more. We never see your Apple ID or your real name. Game Center is optional: decline it and the rest of the app works, you simply are not ranked. Your alias and leaderboard visibility are managed in your device settings, and all of it is governed by Apple's privacy policy.

Subscriptions

Super Human is free to start. The Program is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase, all through the App Store. Apple takes the payment. We use RevenueCat to check whether your purchase entitles you to the Program. RevenueCat receives Apple receipt metadata and a pseudonymous identifier not linked to your name, and processes it as our processor. Neither RevenueCat nor we ever see your card, your billing address, or your Apple ID.

What Super Human does not have

  • No user account. Nothing to sign up for, so we hold no name, email address or password for you.
  • No analytics and no crash reporting. The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution, advertising or crash-reporting SDK.
  • No advertising. There are no ads and no advertising identifier, so you will never see a tracking prompt.
  • No server of ours. There is no backend holding your quests, your photos or your health data, because we do not run one for this app.

We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, build profiles, or use it to train machine learning models.

This website

This page is served as static files from Cloudflare Pages. It sets no cookies, runs no advertising, and embeds no third-party tracking. Cloudflare processes your IP address as a technical necessity of delivering and protecting the site, on our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, and acts as our processor.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict and port your personal data, and to object to processing. You may complain to a supervisory authority; ours is the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

In practice these rights are exercised on the device, because that is where the data is: delete entries inside the app, delete the app to remove the local copy, and clear the iCloud container in Settings, iCloud, Manage Storage. Leaderboard entries are removed through Game Center. If you believe we hold anything about you, write to [email protected].

Children

Super Human is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided information to us, write to [email protected].

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app's release notes.
