Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Super Human app and this page. By installing, opening or using it you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Super Human is a habit and motivation app. It is not a medical device, and nothing it shows you is medical, psychological, nutritional or fitness advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition.
It reads step, sleep, water, mindfulness, heart rate and weight data to mark quests complete, not to assess your health. Do not use those figures to make a medical decision. Before starting a new exercise, fasting, sleep or diet routine, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart or metabolic condition, or a history of disordered eating, speak to a qualified professional. Streaks and leaderboards are meant to motivate; if the pressure to keep one stops being good for you, put the app down.
Who you are agreeing with
Super Human is published by DeadPixel Studio UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Berlin, Germany, HRB 279669 B, VAT ID DE459996624. Contact: [email protected]. The full address is on our Imprint. The app is distributed only through the App Store, so the Apple Media Services Terms apply alongside these terms, and Apple's terms govern in any matter concerning Apple.
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Super Human on any iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code, except where that restriction is prohibited by law. All rights not granted are reserved.
Subscriptions, lifetime, and cancellation
Super Human is free to start. The full Program is sold as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Apple takes the payment, and a subscription renews at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
- Manage or cancel in Settings, your name, Subscriptions. We cannot cancel on your behalf.
- The lifetime purchase is tied to your Apple account and restored with Restore Purchases on any device signed in to it.
- Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Your statutory rights as a consumer in the EU are unaffected by anything in this section.
Lifetime means the lifetime of the app: if we ever discontinue Super Human, your purchase stays usable on your installed copy until it stops working, and no refund is provided beyond what Apple's policies require.
Your data is yours, and so are your backups
Your quests, books, vision board and history are stored on your device and, with iCloud enabled, in your own private iCloud. We have no copy and cannot restore anything for you. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for keeping backups of what you value. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss, corruption or unavailability of your data.
Leaderboards and fair play
Leaderboards run on Apple's Game Center, and taking part is optional. Your Game Center alias and score are visible to other players on the public boards.
Do not fabricate progress, manipulate your device clock or Health data, or use modified builds or third-party tools to inflate a score. We may ask Apple to remove scores we reasonably believe were obtained that way.
Content you add
Photos, notes and anything else you put on your vision board or in your journal stay yours, and stay on your device. You are responsible for having the right to use any image you add. Because none of it reaches us, we cannot moderate, recover or remove it on your behalf.
Intellectual property
Super Human, its name, its design, its code, its artwork and the Metron world and its story belong to DeadPixel Studio UG or its licensors. Third-party components, including Apple frameworks, remain the property of their owners and are used under their licences.
What we do not promise
We provide the app as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free or secure, that Health sync or Game Center will always be available, since both are Apple services, or that any particular habit, fitness or wellbeing outcome will follow from using it.
Liability
We are liable without limit for damage caused intentionally or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health. We are liable for slight negligence only where an essential contractual obligation is breached, and then only up to the foreseeable damage typical for this kind of contract.
Liability under the German Product Liability Act is unaffected. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and nothing here removes your right to bring proceedings there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its date at the top, and material changes will be noted in the app's release notes. Continuing to use Super Human after a change means you accept the updated terms.
